Over six and a half decades ago, LINSEIS embarked on a journey in manufacturing thermal analysis recorders and instruments. The challenge was embraced with enthusiasm, leading us to produce top-notch equipment tailored to your needs.

In the year 2023, the establishment of Linseis Thermal Analysis India Pvt. Ltd. stands as a pivotal moment for scientific instrumentation in India, operating as a subsidiary of Linseis Messgeräte GmbH. This dedicated entity is committed to providing accurate measurement and testing solutions to the rapidly expanding Indian market. The extensive portfolio encompasses state-of-the-art thermal analyzers, calorimeters, and thermophysical property measurement instruments, exemplifying Linseis’ renowned global standing in the realm of precision engineering.
The Linseis recorders were the first devices sold worldwide and are still in demand today. Recently, spare parts and pens are still being sold by a partner company.
The staff of Linseis measuring instruments in front of the ” former ” new building, where today the production of the measuring instruments takes place. Some of the employees on the photo started their apprenticeship at Linseis and have been loyal to us for over 30 years.
Dr. Max Linseis – the physicist and his wife founded Linseis Messgeräte GmbH in his garage at that time, quite typical for a “start-up”. Today the company employs over 120 people at Vielitzer Strasse in Selb-Germany, in the USA and in China.

- 1955: Patent DE925256 (C) for DTA (Differential Thermal Analysis).
- 1956: Dr. Maximilian Linseis founded Linseis Messgeräte GmbH.
- 1956: The first Dilatometer was delivered.
- 1957: The first TGA (Thermobalance) instrument was delivered.
- 1962: Patent DE1124728 (B) for a High-Temperature Dilatometer.
- 1964: The first TG-DTA (Thermogravimetric Analysis – Differential Thermal Analysis) instrument was delivered.
- 1968: The first 2400°C DTA instrument.
- 1971: Introduction of the first DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) instrument.
- 1975: Patent DE2331280 (A1) for the LFA Laser Flash Thermal Conductivity Analyzer.
- 1976: Introduction of the Differential Dilatometer.
- 1977: The first TMA (Thermo-mechanical Analyzer) instrument.
- 1978: The first coupling of TGA-MS (Thermogravimetric Analysis – Mass Spectrometry) and the first commercial Laser Dilatometer.
- 1978: Establishment of Linseis USA.
- 1982: Introduction of the first Guarded Hot Plate (GHP).
- 1986: Release of the new STA L81-1 Series with a turntable of 2 furnaces.
- 1989: Launch of the new Dilatometer Series DIL L75.
- 1993: Introduction of the new TMA Series TMA L77.
- 2005: Introduction of the first Xenon Flash XFA instrument.
- 2005: Launch of the new Laser Flash LFA instrument.
- 2006: Introduction of the first pressure STA (Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer).
- 2009: LSR (Seebeck & Electric Resistivity Analyzer).
- 2011: Introduction of HFM (Heat Flow Meter).
- 2011: THB (Transient Hot Bridge).
- 2013: TF-LFA (Thin Film Laser Flash).
- 2014: Introduction of cryogenic options for Dilatometer and TMA.
- 2015: TFA (Thin Film Analyzer).

- 2019: Introduction of the Linseis TIM-Tester for thermal interface materials.

LINSEIS India stands as the Indian branch company established by LINSEIS, with its primary focus on catering to users in India. Our commitment extends across the entire spectrum of pre-sale, sales, and after-sale services for LINSEIS thermal analysis instruments. In an effort to more effectively meet the needs of our customers, service agencies are strategically positioned in New Delhi.
In Delhi, our application laboratory, along with collaborative laboratories established in partnership with esteemed University Research Institutes, serves as a hub for meaningful discussions and solution-finding in thermal analysis applications. This collaborative approach engages the majority of our users, fostering an environment conducive to enhancing the understanding and application of thermal analysis technologies.

Based in Robbinsville, New Jersey, and operating independently, Linseis Inc. has significantly broadened the Linseis product portfolio. Our offerings now encompass a wide range of instruments, including Thermal Analysis Instruments, Chart Recorders, Data Loggers, Infrared and Digital Thermometers, as well as Thermo/Hygrometers.
Through ongoing product innovation and strategic partnerships, Linseis Inc. delivers top-tier instruments designed for a diverse array of measurement applications.
LINSEIS CHINA
LINSEIS China, officially known as Linseis Shanghai Scientific Instrument Co., Ltd., is the dedicated Chinese subsidiary established by LINSEIS. Our primary mission is to cater to the needs of customers in China, providing comprehensive pre-sale, sale, and after-sale services for LINSEIS thermal analysis instruments.
To enhance our customer support capabilities, we have strategically placed service agencies in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Furthermore, we operate an application laboratory in Beijing and collaborate with esteemed University Research Institutes through joint laboratories. These collaborative efforts serve as a platform for in-depth discussions and solutions-finding for thermal analysis applications, benefiting the majority of our users in the region.
