DIL L75 Laser

Highest Precision Laser-Dilatometer

Description

On point

The Linseis Laser-Dilatometer of the Pico-series has ushered in an era of unparalleled resolution and absolute accuracy. True to its name, this technology achieves resolutions at the Picometer level, specifically 0.3 nm, which translates to 300 Picometers. In practical terms, this represents a resolution capacity that is 33.33 times higher than what was previously attainable.

The use of interference measurement principles further enhances accuracy, especially with the incorporation of specialized computer calibrations. The Linseis L75 Laser-Dilatometer requires only minimal sample preparation, much like a conventional push-rod type dilatometer. There are no stringent requirements for specific sample geometries, making it compatible with all types of materials, regardless of their reflective or non-reflective properties.

The measurement principle is rooted in “absolute measurement,” setting it apart from conventional double-sample push-rod Dilatometers and delivering significantly greater precision. Unlike conventional Dilatometers, there is no need for calibration, streamlining the measurement process.

Applications

Application example: Invar

An INVAR sample was subjected to four heating evaluations within an air atmosphere, covering the temperature range from room temperature to 200°C. This comparison underscores the unparalleled precision of the LASER measuring technique, with the variance among the four measurements being as minimal as 0.01% of the full scale (FS). Thanks to the patented LINSEIS Laser Dilatometer, resolutions can be achieved that surpass the capabilities of conventional Dilatometers by a remarkable factor of 33.
